What is organic manure?

Farmyard manure is organic matter that is used as a fertiliser in gardening and agriculture, with the majority of manure consisting of animal faeces such as horse, cow, chicken and bedding straw.

Is well rotted horse manure good for gardens?

Yes, horse slurry is great for gardens. Organic horse manure compost acts as a brilliant natural fertiliser, soil conditioner, soil improver and source of nitrogen, which are all essential for growing plants and keeping your garden in the best condition possible.

Can I put composted horse manure straight on flower beds?

Fresh manure may sound like the best option to many gardeners and landscapers, but in reality, it isn’t – plants are at risk from E.coli, salmonella and other harmful bacteria when fresh manure is applied. (Let the manure dry and age in order to achieve the best results for your garden).

Delivery Information

Our Well-Rotted Horse Manure bulk bag deliveries are typically made using a tail-lift and hand manoeuvred pump truck and for those who have large fences or walls, we also deliver Organic Manure via a vehicle with a crane offload.

Being a local, family-run business we only have the capabilities to deliver topsoil, manure, mulch and other products to areas near our HQ in Hambledon, Hampshire (see our delivery zones page for more information). Please note, we are currently unable to deliver bulk bags of Organic Manure within the Portsmouth Clean Air Zone.

Ordered topsoil on Tuesday came by Friday at the exact time quoted. Was WAY cheaper than anywhere else (by about £15 per bag) and was dropped off via a crane on back of the lorry, not by pallet which most of the other places use. Soil was fine and dry. Brilliant !
